Hybrid Sniper course: Grafenwoehr & Hohenfels, germany

The ISTC Night and Urban Sniper Course is a comprehensive three-week training program designed to prepare sniper teams for operations in both low-visibility nighttime conditions and complex urban environments. The course is divided into two distinct phases, each tailored to develop specific operational skills:

  1. Night Sniper Phase (Week 1 and first half of Week 2):
Conducted at the S. Army Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, this phase focuses on nighttime operations. Participants will refine their ability to move undetected, execute precision shooting, and complete mission objectives under low-visibility conditions. The training emphasizes the importance of concealment, target identification, and engagement while countering thermal observation from both ground and aerial platforms.
  2. Urban Sniper Phase (Second half of Week 2 and Week 3):
Held at the S. Army Hohenfels Training Area, Germany, this phase transitions to operations in urban environments. Participants will acquire the tactical and technical expertise needed to conduct precision fire missions in complex urban terrain. The training covers target identification, engagement, intelligence collection, and operational adaptability in challenging settings.

By the end of the course, sniper teams will be fully equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in diverse operational scenarios, combining the stealth and precision required for nighttime engagements with the versatility and effectiveness demanded in urban environments.
