Desert Sniper Course: Chinchilla, Spain

The ISTC Desert Sniper Course is a two-week program designed for trained sniper teams to develop their ability to deliver precision fire from concealed positions in an arid environment. Conducted at the Spanish Army Chinchilla Training Area near Chinchilla de Montearagón, Spain, the course leverages the region’s semi-arid climate, with daytime temperatures averaging 32°C, to simulate realistic operational conditions.

The training focuses on undetected movement underground and aerial thermal observation, enabling participants to locate, identify, and engage assigned targets or gather intelligence while maintaining concealment.
